Monday 20th September 2010 @ 21.00 hrs - Live concert by ‘The Spiteri Lucas Band’ under the direction of ‘Maestro Mark Spiteri Lucas’ and featuring Sophie amongst other leading local artists.

Well it’s been a while since we last spoke, so I’ll just update you on whats been going on with me lately!.. I’ve just come back from my visit to the UK, which was out of this world! For two reasons mainly, the first being that I saw my sister Charlotte taking part in her very first end of year school show at Italia Conti. She was brilliant, and super talented! She made me really proud =’) .. The next reason being that i met Pixie Lott, who was watching the Italia Conti show on the same night that me and my family watched it!.. She seemed like a really sweet girl, very humble and down to earth, which is something I really liked about her.

Apart from my short visit to the UK I’ve been very busy in the studio working on new and exciting material with some amazing people, which you should be hearing quite soon!..         Also here’s something quite exciting, my new website has officially been launched! Something else that has just happened is that I took part in my annual school show at the College of Jazz Dance which was as good as ever!.. I always love performing in that show, it’s really professional and loads of fun too.

I think i better stop there for now even though loads more has been going on, but if I had to mention everything we’d be here for hours =) haha.. Anyways, if you would like to know more you can always visit the new website as I mentioned before!

I ‘ve been spending the last 2 months writing new material and have also been very busy in the studio working on new songs with Maltese Producer Elton Zarb and Bill Young, my Management representative at  ‘Thru the Mill  Ltd.’ We are creating some interesting music , which you will get to hear in the near future. In the meantime i was so thrilled to manage  a short break from song work, and travel to London to watch the ‘Italia Conti Countdown’ at The New Wimbledon Theatre, where my sister Charlotte is a first year Musical Theatre student.  During this show i met British Artist ‘Pixie Lott’  who was really down to earth and very friendly. A lot of exciting plans are in the pipeline, so please come back here to find out more news updates soon.

I’d like to share some exciting news, my new Company ‘Totally Sophie Music’ will be launched very soon. This brilliant idea came about through my new Management (www.thruthemill.co.uk). One of the very first, exciting opportunities that has come my way is to write a new song for a well known act in the U.K. with my producer Elton Zarb. Let me bring you up to date with what’s been going on since we last talked. Firstly I’m up to my neck in exams, all the studying and the anxiety of ‘Will I do well?’, ‘Will I know any of the answers?’ – Well it’s going ok so far, but only time will tell how good I’m really going!.. Don’t you just hate it when you come out of an exam, thinking you’ve done really well, then people tell you what they’ve answered and they’re completely different to what you’ve done?.. Well that’s happened to me quite a lot recently!

Musically things couldn’t be more exciting, I’m extremely happy to have a new U.K. Management company and really good things are already beginning to happen! Like I’m already writing a new song for a well known U.K. act with my producer Elton Zarb, but unfortunately I can’t reveal any more at this stage! I will keep you in suspense for now LOL! =) but don’t worry you’ll get to know everything in good time!

I’ve also been auditioning for an Acting role in a TV film, which is something quite new for me! It’s been a great experience so far, and I have a feeling it’s only going to get better, as they called me back for a second screen test! Mustn’t be bad.. =) though for some strange reason I got really excited before going in to audition, which is kind of out of the ordinary for me because when I’m about to go and sing in front of a huge audience I never get nervous or excited! I’d actually be quite chilled! So being excited for an audition in front of one guy is a bit strange, don’t you think??.. Anyway it’s all gone good so far, so fingers crossed!

After my exams are over, I’m going to continue working on my music and writing new songs. In fact I’ll be travelling to Scotland to work with a great Guitarist and now producer, whose name I will reveal soon.. promise to tell you more as soon as I can… I’m so excited, can’t wait! =)
